Effective Date: September 1, 2026 | Last Updated: September 1, 2026
Unified Athletes | Colorado, USA | Legal Contact: info@UnifiedAthletics.com
This Copyright Policy explains ownership and permitted use of copyrighted materials made available through Unified Athletes and provides a process for reporting alleged copyright infringement. It supplements the Terms and Conditions.
1. Ownership of Unified Athletes Materials
Unless otherwise stated, the websites, software, databases, compilations, course materials, guides, articles, graphics, photographs, videos, audio, designs, text, downloadable resources, presentations, templates, and other materials created by or for Unified Athletes are owned by Unified Athletes or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright laws.
Copyright protection may apply to the selection, coordination, arrangement, design, and compilation of materials even when individual facts or public-domain elements are not independently protected.
2. Limited Permission for Personal and Authorized Use
Subject to the Terms and any separate license, Unified Athletes grants users a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to access and use materials solely for the purpose for which the service provides them. No ownership rights are transferred.
- You may view and use materials for personal, educational, or internal authorized program purposes where the service permits.
- You may download or print materials only where a download or print function is provided or written permission is granted.
- You must retain copyright, trademark, attribution, and other proprietary notices on authorized copies.
- You may not republish, redistribute, sell, license, scrape, mass-download, create unauthorized derivative works, or commercially exploit copyrighted material without permission.
3. Athlete and User Content
Users generally retain copyright ownership in original User Content they create, subject to licenses granted under the Terms or separate agreements. Users must not upload content owned by others unless they have permission, a license, or another lawful basis to do so.
Sports facts, statistics, schedules, names, and other factual information may not themselves be protected by copyright, but photographs, video footage, broadcasts, graphics, database compilations, articles, scouting reports, and creative presentations of such facts may be protected. Users are responsible for evaluating rights before copying or publishing third-party materials.
4. Educational Materials and Course Content
Course materials, Brand Manager guides, worksheets, presentations, templates, videos, certifications, tests, training modules, and related educational resources may be licensed for a specific learner, class, institution, program, or term. Access does not authorize copying for unrelated teams, institutions, commercial distribution, resale, or public posting unless the license expressly permits it.
5. Media, Photography, Video, and Publicity Materials
Copyright ownership and publicity rights are separate. A person may own copyright in a photograph or video, while the depicted athlete may hold name, image, likeness, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights. Use of media may therefore require permissions from both the copyright owner and depicted individuals, plus any venue, school, league, sponsor, or event permissions that apply.
6. Artificial Intelligence and Dataset Use
Unless expressly authorized in writing, Unified Athletes materials may not be systematically copied, scraped, extracted, or used to train, fine-tune, benchmark, validate, or build artificial intelligence or machine learning systems, datasets, embeddings, or competing content products, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
7. Copyright Infringement Reporting
If you believe copyrighted material available through the services infringes your rights, submit a written notice to info@UnifiedAthletics.com. To facilitate prompt review, include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to locate it, such as a page, profile, post, file, or URL description.
- Your name, mailing address if available, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
8. Removal or Restriction of Material
Upon receipt of a sufficiently detailed infringement report, Unified Athletes may investigate and may remove, disable, restrict, preserve, or restore material as appropriate. We may notify the affected user. Removal does not constitute an admission that infringement occurred.
9. Counter-Notifications
If material is removed in response to a copyright notice and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification. A legally sufficient counter-notification should include your identification, the removed material and prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed because of mistake or misidentification, appropriate consent to jurisdiction where required by applicable law, your contact information, and your physical or electronic signature.
Because counter-notification requirements can create legal consequences, users may wish to consult qualified counsel before submitting one.
10. Repeat Infringers
Unified Athletes may terminate or restrict accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights or other intellectual property rights when appropriate under the circumstances. We may also restrict users who repeatedly submit clearly abusive or fraudulent infringement reports.
11. False or Misleading Notices
Submitting knowingly false infringement claims or counter-notifications may expose the sender to legal liability. Do not submit a copyright notice merely because you disagree with, dislike, or compete with content.
12. Permissions and Licensing Requests
Requests to reproduce, distribute, adapt, publish, syndicate, license, or otherwise use Unified Athletes copyrighted materials beyond authorized use should be submitted to info@UnifiedAthletics.com with a description of the material, proposed use, audience, territory, duration, media, and commercial purpose.
13. Copyright Notices
Unless otherwise stated, all copyrightable Unified Athletes-owned content is protected. Display of a copyright notice is not required for ownership or enforcement. Users may not remove or alter copyright notices, watermarks, credits, metadata, rights-management information, or technological protection measures except as authorized by law.
14. Third-Party Materials
Some services may contain content licensed from or supplied by third parties. Third-party copyright notices, license restrictions, attribution requirements, or usage limitations must be honored. Unified Athletes cannot grant rights to third-party content that it does not own or control.
